Large Cyarwa Bowl 12"
This woven basket is handmade by artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda and measures 12" in diameter. The women grow their own sisal plants, extract the fibers, then hand-dye and weave them into these beautiful works of art. The sisal is woven around sweetgrass, a fragrant grass with a subtle sweetness. In addition to making a beautiful table display, these baskets can also be hung as art using the string attached to the back. You can combine them with other baskets or works of art to make a feature wall collage.
Based in Portland, Oregon, Amsha works directly with artisans across Africa. They focus on driving social change in underserved communities by bringing quality, ethically made goods to the marketplace.
